I'm about to go to Sams to buy one item- large roll of wide heavy duty foil. Usually this one item type trip results in a 425$ bill. And a basket full of steaks, ribs, sausage and butts.

Only take cash for the foil, leave the credit cards home. If the deals are that good you'll come back later. By the way this has never worked for me.

Do you have a restaurant supply store near you? Might be cheaper in the long run.

Here's what I do in Bass Pro....
Don't get a cart.
Don't take anyone with you who will offer to carry "stuff" for you.

It doesn't work 100%, but sometimes it cuts down on the $ to get out of the store.

As for one pack of foil, I'd find something else at home to use instead.
