• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Learning a lot here.

Hello from Sacramento, CA. I've used gassers and weber kettles to make grilled backyard burnt offerings for years.:-D About a year ago I picked up a Brinkmann Vertical charcoal smoker. It looks like a small safe. That's the first time I tried my hand a real BBQ. The Brinkmann has a large door that leaks a lot of air when closed and makes it hard to control the temperature. Finally I got a WSM about six months ago after reading about it on the Virtual Weber Bullet website. Finally I've been able to make better chicken, pork and beef BBQ then whats available from local restaurants. Damn thing! Now I can't enjoy buying BBQ anymore, I have to make my own. Anyway, thanks for the great site!

Welcome Rusty.
Just a tip, never trust anyone here whose name can be spelled the same forward as back.

Hi-ya Rusty. Like that avatar you got there...

Kinda reminds me about the restaurant they got up on the moon: food's pretty good, but it's got no atmosphere.

Thank you, ladys and gentlemen. Thank you very much...

Amazon.com sells a collectors plate with that picture. I just had to steal the picture for an avatar and I bought the plate. Someday when the kids are having an estate garage sale, it should bring 50¢.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.
