Last week, I threw my little Cookshack 008 in the back of my truck and off I went to fishcamp.Last Tuesday I smoked 2 brisket flats, abt 6# each. Well 12 firefighter devoured them like you all couldnt believe.Wednesday I did a couple of 6# pork butts............same thing happened.They were like giant commercial grade shop vacs. A couple of the guys never ate brisket before.....OMG they were blown away.No pics..........forgot camera mod. We had corn on the cob and boiled taters. Nothing fancy but dont get in the way of hungry firefighters/paramedics.Will take camera next year for sure.

xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I remember my first taste of brisket - ohhhh goodness. Now I have to cook it for my FIL whenever he comes for a visit - like that's tough to do.....

Hey Bull - you never mentioned how the fishing was! Where did you go?
We went to a small town, east of Luddington. We were camped on the Pere Marquette river.
Fishing was so so due to the very warm weather. We caught a few Kings but fishing basically shut down.
I dont have any pictures, but my buddy emailed me some. I will forward them to somebody who knows how to download them if they wish.

Born and half raised in Pontiac area you can imagine me tryin to find a pasty here in the midwest. Finally figured out how to make my own just as good as any UP joint. Damn now I hungry for pasties.
