• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Kingsford in NYC Event (3/12) w/ Brethren

Kevin, do you have any idea what half hour or so the Today program will be spotlighting your segment. I will be rolling tape and also watching if i can.

to answer some of the questions.

Taping the event? We will have the Today show and a Food Network Chef (I cannot tell you who) there at some point. All of the local networks and print medias will be there. WE Will post approved pics from the event on the Brethren site.

The units we will be using are Kingsford Kettle Grills, The Medium Sized Spicewine (Vinny's new smoker), Phil's Klose BYC, and a new Jedmaster that Chris Lilly had secured.

We have 3 chef's form Kingsford university, Chris Lilly, Rick Rodgers, and Aaron Sanchez. Of course Phil and Vinny will be tending their pits. If I have time I will be helping as needed.

Please feel free to stop by see us. We are setting up on Sunday so we will be there all day as well.

to answer the last 2 questions, I have to talk to the media buyers, but not sure of what hours we will be on. As soon as I know I can post it.

Dr, thanks for the offer, we are set for this one but I will keep that in mind as I think when this one is a huge success we will get to do some more.

Jay, you are a big part of this and even though you won't be standing in the cooking area you will be there in spirit.

Sled, the cooking area is stansioned off I hvae very tricky fire marshall codes I have to navigate for this one. I am creating a "backyard" cooking area with a custom bar and other elements.
 
It is sampling for Kingsford to celebrate the extended Daylight Saving Hours. Public smpling of creations by the Kingsford University Chefs, assisted of course by the Brethren

try on 21st Street West of 6th avenue for the best early bird specials before 10 AM. It will still run you around $16. But SouthWest of the Park is where the best rates are.

OK, sos the event schedule for the day is still working out but it appears that we have media hours at

The media invites are numerous so I cannot say who will be showing up. If I get more info before I fly Friday I will post it.

So, I was reading an article with the tv on in the background (Big Deal with Donnie Deutch on msnbc, I think) and Cat Cora of Iron Chef was being interviewed.

She mentioned something about starting something to do with bbq and now I wish that I was paying attention. Something about starting the ccbbq.

Is she the person from Food Network that will be attending?

My bet is on Guy Fiori. Anyway, saw a writeup on the event in today's NY Daily News. Can't find it on their site, though.
 
I have a non-dsclosure on revealing the outside hosts. I have heard who they are trying to get but I don't know who they have secured officialy, and probably will not until I land in NYC on Friday.
