Hey Guys,

I got a question, is it legal to cook hamburger for kids Q in a cast iron skillet?

we are using a one touch weber and having the skillet on it.

TIA

Mike

Depends. Last couple Kids Q's we've done the organizers have provided the grills and you had to cook on them in a specified area. You will need to check with your contest and ask them. A lot of them seem to be going to a specific cut for kids. Like under 12 get a pork chop and 12 and over get a steak.

Have only done one Kids Q event, KCBS sanctioned. Was open heat source...anything goes. I would think cast iron skillet on Weber would be ok regardless. Good luck to the little one.

Check with the organizer.

In the Kids Que I run we get Weber Smokey Joe's donated, the kids get to keep the grill, and we require them to cook on the provided grills...
