Just want to say thanks

I was chosen by my Deputy Warden to cook approximately 45 lbs of butts for our Units Holiday (read Christmas Party). The butts were supplied by the Warden as his gesture to the officers. HE provided butts to the other units as well. I used bits and pieces of information that I have picked up from this fine BBS and all you farkers. Some SM rubs, injection of the butts and a little of the injection used on the meat once it was cooked. The Warden ate four different style of barbecued pork butt yesterday, and today at the Supervisors meeting, stated that he wanted to do a Complex wide BBQ contest with each unit providing a team, and I would be the one to beat:icon_blush:. I owe that compliment to y'all. Again thank you.

One day last week I was going by the Gatesville Prison one of the staff had a big trailer pit inside the wire cooking for his fellow guards. Talk about cruel punishment having to smell that brisket cookin and watchin as they eat it in front of ya. I Like it!!:becky:
