• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Just thought I'd say hello....

 I'm a country boy from the southeast Georgia low country, Jesup Georgia, which is near the coast...I retired a couple years ago and devote most of my time now to riding my motorcycle, fishing and cooking... I bought a pull behind wood cooker two year ago and have cooked butts and spare ribs several times for the Jesup Rotary club, the Jesup VFW and Jesup Elks club, ext...I have competed in two non-sanctioned cookoffs for the last two years and plan to cook in the Jesup Rotary Club Cook Off coming up October the 22nd and 23rd. Although I've been smoking meat all my life and at one time owned a barbecue restaurant. I still have a lot to learn about smoking meat... I enjoy cooking and especially enjoyed learning about cooking and smoking all kinds of meats and foods...

I belong to another forum "The Virtual Weber Bulletin Board" and have enjoyed learning and participating with that group... I am really looking forward to participating in this form and have enjoyed reading the information contained here so far... Thanks for allowing me to be a "brethren"...

Welcome, and its nice to have another southerner around. My folks live in Brunswick (St.Simons), and it would be nice to meet another brother sometime. Also, what kind of cooker did you buy? My wife and I were in Nahunta looking at smokers last month.
