• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Happy saturday brethren, nothing special here just a chuck eye I got on sale. Got it out of the freezer as Ole Miss is destroying Georgia (Lord this week is gonna be awful listening to their sidewalk fans). Just some pron, only thing is the Ely’s steak seasoning. It is wonderful on meat....all kinds. They started a big time restaurant in Jackson called Shapleys that he sold, then helped some of his family open up Ely’s......really nice beef (heavy pepper) based rub. Any who, weber and some oak chunks cut from a fallen tree on our farm. Put some beef consulate n pan to keep some moisture and start some juice for later......don’t mean to ramble, y’all get to be my saturday company......happpy saturday brothers....!!!image1.JPG

Looks like it is coming along nicely. Do not get impatient, let it go till probe tender. Or until you can stick a fork in it, and it will shred easily when you twist it.

Yep just what Bigr said, they take longer than you think to get to the point where they shred easily.

Can someone tell me what the target Internal temp for chuckle to be tender???

HAHAHAHA.....be careful what you ask for Jeanie......I’ve been known to pick great minds like cowgirl for HOURS!!!!!!!......thanks Jeanie.....hope all is well with you and yours....

Looks good to me. As for the IT, when I cooked my chuckie I hit 205 but it still wasn't probe or pull apart tender. Let 'er go until probe AND most importantly pull apart tender. You'll know it.

Have you ever run across a nicer person before? Sounds great to me , too.

I’ve told her for years she NEEDS to do a network TV cooking show. She is so blessed with genuine goodness and cooks OUTSIDE with huge knowledge of different cookers and how to do different kinds of food in different situations. I can tell you I live in redneck heaven, she has the appeal and knowledge to draw men and women of all education and personality levels and has the “IT” factor. Sorry to go on and on but she is one of MANY that make this site so very special and is my go to site.

We need to enter her in a step program, first she needs to enter (dominate) a throwdown, then allow a live shot, from behind at least, of what she looks like. Baby steps.

At my age and as many parts as I’ve lost thru the years you take whatever you can get, and right now I’m just trying to get a chuckle worth eating.. But from what I can tell she is as genuine as they come and I’m quite content with her comments, advice and friendship.........
