• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Jaccard 48 Blade. Opinion on Price.

I've always had good luck with them, but looks like you can save another $10 bucks from Ebay...

I've bought a couple of Wustof knives from CutleryandMore via the net and had really good luck and got what I felt was a good deal.

I have the 16 blade and use it all the time.

Don't remember what I gave for it though.

I saw this one on QVC yesterday and ordered it:

I don't use mine for tenderizing so much as prior to marinating and grilling.

I use it on boneless skinless chicken breasts because it allows the marinade to penetrate all the way down into the meat.

What do you use these on? And Why? Thanks.

Just another kitchen gadget to have. I may not use it much for queing, but for regular stovetop/oven cooking, a tenderizer such as this type is good to have. Much better then those mallet tenderizers that you smash meat with.

But this type of meat tenderizer does the following:

Make virtually any cut of meat more tender. The 56 stainless steel blades of this meat tenderizer cut small channels into each piece of meat, adding tenderness and helping it cook faster.
  • Channels allow meat to absorb marinades and rubs

I bought a knock off of the Jaccard from a discount store.
I only used it a few times and it has lived in the kitchen draw ever since.
I wouldn't buy it again. Just my opinion.

My sediments exactly!

I only say this because I think I need this, and it's on sale, and thats where it will probably spend most of its life!
