Jacard on a shoulder?

A while back, I recorded a BBQ with Bobby Flay about the MIM competition. They swhow one of the teams (Natural Born Griller, I think) using a Jacard on a pork shoulder. It looked like they had already rubbed it. Has anyone tried this?

i jaccard both briskets and shoulders, but decide ahead of time if you want to inject it. Jaccarding and injecting makes for messy meat.

You can jaccard dang near anything but birds. It tears up the meat something fierce.
