• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

It's been a while so here is a brisket cook, live sorta

Well, with a career shift and a 1 year old boy, I haven't been on here so I thought I'd celebrate a return to hanging out with the brethren by doing a brisket cook, Bludawg style. Walmart had some Choice briskets on sale for under $2/lb so here we go. I'm cooking a small one because I no longer have a decent sized cooker, so im going old school.

I'll post pics when I spritz (yes I spritz - water, ACV & Worcestershire). Aaron Franklin was my trimming spirit guide, Bludawg my cooking spirit animal. Don't have but her paper so foil will have to do at the end.

45 minutes in and humming at 310 degrees

The smaller brisket worries me at 300 degrees...at about 160 IT. Spritzed and back the heat down to 290ish.
