• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

It Will Never Be the Same..........

When I open my fridge and look for a brisket and expect to see the beast and it is gone . I even picked up the largest one I could find today and 20lbs was all RD could muster . Though it is nice and thick :-D

Good news is I'm going to cook this one up this weekend (probably Sat) and hope to do a full video documenting as much as I can. So many brisket threads and tips, but not being able to see (other than pics) what others are actually doing and talking about it while it happens maybe causes things to get lost in translation.

So I have no idea how it will turn out or if it will even be helpful, but going to show it all from trimming, injecting, wrapping and the final slicing for how I do a brisket at home.

Very Cool and yes, 28 pounder will be missed.

I'm seriously chasing the dragon on this one. In my lifetime I want to find one larger even if by ounces it will be awesome. Though other than a 22lb'er I got I've never seen anything in between. Might need to get a cow and steroid it up :clap2:

But he's so cute and cuddly! Who needs a big ole brisket?

was at RD today and saw a 23# but passed. who would even listen???

Looking forward to the videos as I am smoking my 3rd Brisket ever this weekend. It's only a 10lb'er, but sheeeet, it's still a Brisket. ;-)

I don't know why I always shoot for larger ones. Though I do need leftovers to make some brunswick stew. So probably use it for that.
