that I got myself a weber 22'' inch kettle grill. I was looking at craigslist all last summer, fall, winter and so far this spring. I finally scored a nice one that wasn't really used much for 5 bucks at a yard sale today. 5 bucks! incredible.

I would have never even though about getting one if it wasn't for this site and the Pron you guys and gals posted here all the time. I would have been content with my Kenmore stainless gasser and using a smoking box with wood chips for the rest of my life. Don't get me wrong, I still love my gasser because of how quick and easy it is to use but for flavor............ fogetabout it.

On a similar note, went over to my neices new house last night and the previous owners left her husband a pretty much brand new OTG!! I told him that was the icing on the whole home deal!! Now the 18.5 I gave him has a big brother.

I see a UDS in your future.

I was going to try to build one after the yard work I have going on was finished. I have a lot of it going on right now so this grill was a great surprise. I guess it'll put that off for a little while now.

I suspect that as you use the kettle more, you will use the gasser less.

I have a feeling you may be right about that. I was using a smokey joe that I got at a yard sale on a few occasions but found it just to small. Now that I have real sized Weber Kettle I feel more has opened up to me.

Glad for you man

Thank you, I'm glad for me too. Money has been tight and unless I got one cheap I wasn't getting one. It's a blessing.

Nice score, congrats!

Thank You, I'm pretty pumped up about it. I will treat myself to ne grates and a few extras. Especially a thermo.

Paul and Bob, I'll be sure to post some pictures when I re-break it in. I understand the rules about no pictures, no happen.

The real question is what to cook first. I'm thinking split breast chicken with fresh rosemary and Garlic from the garden. I'll also make some nice fresh asparigus <sp>
I'll use the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid)

I'm open for suggestions, and thanks for the inspiration and the support.

Happy BBQ'ing all and Happy Mothers day to all the mom's.
