• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I'm looking to add an inverter and a small bank of batteries to my trailer to operate my refrigerator while travel. I've done the ice thing but I'd prefer to have it operating. I'm looking at around a 3000w inverter and wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations on a brand they use and are happy with.

I have a Xantrex and it has worked well for three or four years. Mine is only 1800W but I'm sure they make bigger ones.

I should have clarified the type of inverter set up I'm looking at is an inverter with several batteries that can power my refrigerator while traveling. I already have (2) 2400w inverters (generators) for on site power.

If the fridge is sealed up tight I have gone a few hours without power and it is still plenty cold. Think power outtage at your home. Others plug their fridge into their generators while traveling without any issue, just generator in back end of truck. If I am going to be more than 3 hours without power I throw a bag of ice into fridge and that works just fine if not even better.
