Interesting score

Last weekend I coked short ribs for the chiefs choice category. They looked like chit and we ate the best ones and threw 6 in the box to be judged. One judge gave us a 3,9,9 for a score and I couldn't agree more. It's my first three for appearance.

Comment card would have read...looks like chit, tastes like heaven.

How did they finish in the category standungs? I ask because I think we sometimes focus on appearance scores too much (given their relative level of importance to the overall).

Sadly, my turn in is more likely to garner a 933.......

I think I would take 3,9,9 across the board anyday. You should be commended for your non-bash of the Judges.
