• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

At our last contest my honey injected the brisket's with a combination of FAB B and Apple Juice. She has done this before without incident but this time we had dark blotches and needle marks in the meat. Vinny (MillitantSquatter) saw it first hand. She thought she injected with the grain but maybe not. Could anyone help shed some light on what happened and what we could do to prevent this. The meat was very tasty but very underdone which is an easy problem to address, but those blotches prevented us from getting any higher than an 8 in presentation. As a matter of fact we got 8's across the board except for one 7. Thank you in advance for your help.

Guy,
We have no problem whatsoever with staining with FAB B.
But, we use a quart of injection per packer-so very diluted.
Plus, our injection is EVERYWHERE in the meat, not concentrated in any one location.

If staining is a concern or problem the way you like to inject, FAB B Lite was developed for that purpose-- as I understand it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Tim. I had a feeling that was what Fab B Lite was for. You confirmed it for us and for that we are very thankful.
