• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I've been cooking in BBQ contests since the early 80's but my main claim to fame is that I know Jim Minion. I even get to cook with him from time to time.

I'm not officially a doctor, I'm a pre med gynocologist. I'm a KCBS board member and as you might have learned in Maxim magazine "I smoked alot of weed in high school".

I've got lots of cookers and lots of trophies. I am walking the walk.

Welcome Doc, Both a pleasure and an Honor to have you among our number. Welcome Brother!

Again, welcome Dr B.

Any friend of Jims...

Jim has really added a new dimension of no nonsense great info cooking tips to everyone from fellow competitors here, to people with their smoker still in the box.

Your point of view will always be appreciated.

Congrats on a great career doing what you love.

You my new brother are the man. We have heard nothing but good things about you. So we are all ears, please master tell us a secret or two.

Great to have you aboard!

Saw you and Jim at the Royal. Can't remember if we officially met or not.

Have heard nothing but great things about you. Including the Maxim article!

Your picture does not look familiar to me bellybro. Nice to met you all.

And that is his good side too.

Welcome aboard Dr.B. Some mighty fine hardware you got there.

Howdy. Now maybe those of us in Florida will get a little respect!! :D

I'm hoping to see you at Plant City next month. We probably won't be cooking but I am going to run over to see what's going on.

welcome----and thanks for what I have learned from ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buzz(sometimes here sometimes not)

Hi Buzz and everyone else. I won't be in Plant City though. I'll be in Oklahoma helping Fast Eddy do his cooking class.

Bummer! I thought I saw where you were going to be there -- oh yeah on your calendar at marysgourmetfoods.com!! Things do change - Southern Brethren were planning on competiting but we're probably going to regroup and start again in January. We are, however, going to be at Minneola this weekend for the judge's class and the state cook off.

Just curious: what cooker to you use at your "place" in Lakeland?

Dr.

Welcome to the Forum.
Your reputation precedes you and we are honored to have you here!

LOL, I have had the pleasure of taking Doc's class and cooking with him (highly recommend if you get the chance), once and a while he brings along some interesting friends.
I don't know anyone that is doing more to promote BBQ and competing.
Doc will be in OK giving a class soon, understand Fast Eddie will be there also.

Welcome aboard. With all those accomplishments we, as a group, will surely glean some information from insight you may add to the forums.
