• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

So, if you could just use one wood on everything, what would it be? This could be a wood that is not native to your area. I think my favorite overall would be Cherry. But I normal get my best results mixing a couple flavors. Cherry and Pecan works good for me.

Cherry, but man, I love hickory too. And, I've got like an unlimited supply of apple wood, but, I could never pick apple. Just doesn't impart enough flavor.

Can't pick just one. My favorite is a mix of apple and cherry. Sometimes a little pecan. Mesquite for hot & fast beef cooks like steaks and burgers.

Very new to this group. Been smoking for 15 years. My favorite wood is apple, followed closely by hickory.

Another vote for pecan........but I sure would miss the other woods. :-D

Mulbery, Ash, Elm, Eucalyptus, Sycamore are available in Las Vegas. Are any of these good for smoking?

Whatever burns good and build good coal base....Oak works for me.
