• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Still trying to get my IBCA chicken dialed in. I picked up my new Jambo on monday, and Jaime gave me some good pointers (Actually surprised as how much info he gave me) on my chicken. But i am wondering what do y'all cook your IBCA chicken on? I know some people start them on the smoker and then move to a grill, some use a kettle the whole time and some use UDS.

What do you cook yours on?

I think I'd roll with what Jaime told you. His chicken doesn't suck.

No you are right, it doesn't. But i was a little intimidated (He's not intimidating at all, thats just my demeanor as i don't want to put someone out) and i really didn't ask a couple key questions and am a little confused about a couple things he said. Thats why i wanted to get a consensus on here.

I would be more intimidated trying methods people posted on the internet versus doing what one of the best chicken cooks in the country personally told you.

Just trying to see what people have to say that might help me.

I used to cook mine on a Traeger for the whole cook. These day's I've been using my Assassin grill.

More often than not, the Weber kettle rules the chicken roost when it comes to Texas comps.

Jambo, microwave shelf with chicken halves on a rack (easier to turn).

I've done well using a kettle, UDS and a WSM. I will suggest that you should put a aluminum pan on the lower rack to prevent your chicken injection from dripping on your fire, only cause it could cause your fire to dampen up.
