• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I would like to get a new cooker to replace a kingsford offset grill/smoker . While it is not in the graveyard it is on life support. All the grates are rotted. At this point either repairs or get a new one. I have looked at weber kettle , a charbroil acorn and been thinking of a weber smoky mountain . I am really looking for versitle unite . Advice?

Kettle and Akorn are both darn "versatile" if that's your main interest. I think the WSM is a little less so, but does what it does quite well.

I have a wsm but I love my Weber kettle with a smokenator smokes meat just as good as a wsm you can put a new Weber kettle at Walmart for around 90 dollars I've had mine about 12 years stays outside all winter never cover it still looks great

If you want to cook both direct and indirect the Kettle is what you should look at, if you plan on doing using it primarily for indirect as a smoker the WSM is the way to go.

I'd choose a 26 inch kettle. It will have a larger surface area than your other choices, closer to the amount you are used to. Otherwise, a 22Inch kettle, I cook everything on one.

I love my Akorn , I recommend an Akorn

Very versatile , Grill , Smokes, Bakes .
