• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Had to temporarily relocate to NE ohio for work, be here a year or so. Looking for recommendations for a quality store bought smoker:confused:

If you were closer I would hook you up with a WSM 18.5 for the year, maybe a feed once in a while.

Dont have one, but

the WSM's are popular enough, you should prolly go with one. Small space, big amounts of yum! Unless you are going to want to grill also, then a kettle would prolly be better for both.

You can't go wrong with an 18.5" WSM.

Best smoker for the dollar on the market. (IMO)

Just sayin'.

Something that you can also rotisserie on such as a Weber kettle 22.5"or WSM 22.5"

I am guessing you are just there by yourself. I would go 14.5" wsm as it is a great cooker. You can do a lot with it and it's cheap to run. Very portable unit. Run it with lump charcoal though otherwise briquettes will limit you to 8-9 hours of burn time. Lump is easier refuel with as it doesn't leave as much ash so it takes a lot longer to fill up on ash. The 14.5 has problems with ash from briquettes. If you want to use briquettes get at least an 18.5 but if you are ok with lump then try out a 14.5. Plus it can br packed up for vacations, camping, etc. It doesn't run like the bigger versions and it takes some gettin use to. A water pan is a must in a 14.5 as it helps with temp stability but the bigger ones don't need water.

Neighbor down the road offered me his Oklahoma joe highlander for 75$. Only used a couple times, I couldn't pass it up.

Nice score for $75 I would have bought it to. It would have been a argument with the wife, but I would have bought it to.
