I have been a busy man the past couple weeks with my sons tackle football starting and practices 6 days a week. I have managed to get in a couple cooks and it got me to thinking. I love all bbq, it is a passion of mine. But nothing compares to cooking a brisket for me. I don't know if it is because I screwed up so many briskets in my early bbq'in days, but the satisfaction of nailing a brisket is second to none. I used to think brisket was overrated and too much hype. I had just never tasted properly cooked brisket.

The pics are from two separate cooks. Today I cooked for a friends birthday, I was up at midnight to start the fire. As tired as I was there was no better feeling than slicing into the brisket and getting good feedback on the food. Anyone else obsessed with brisket?

I'm a brisket nut, too, as are my family members and friends now that I can consistently produce the results. And my brisket sauce is the best I've ever tasted (just personal taste.)

They say the first step in addiction recovery is admitting that you have a problem. My problem is that I have absolutely no intention of getting over my brisket addiction!:thumb:
