• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

my wife got a pampered chef pizza stone from somewhere. Can I use it for pizzas on Webber kettle. If so how would one approach this?

I have only used a stone on my pellet grill and my gasser, just got a kettle so I'm looking forward the the responses myself

but I do know weber sells a pizza oven accessory

I would be careful using the Pampered Chef stone on a grill. It is designed for oven use and may not hold up to the heat of the fire. Stones like that have been known to crack...

My girlfriend has one of those, not sure if use it on the grill. I don't know a lot about pampered chef because I prefer cheap restaurant supply cooking supplies but I've heard it's expensive.

FWIW, I have a PC stone and use it in my Vision for pizza. I don't even preheat it. Still going after many pizzas. Maybe I'm just lucky?

If it's an oven pizza stone you put the oven on 550 let it preheat for an hour with the stone in the middle. When the stone is hot put the pie on it should take about 8-10 mins. If you have a broiler on top of the oven when you put the pie on the stone set the broiler and it will bubble up the top while the hot stone cooks the bottom. Check after about 6 mins.

The pampered chef stone will crack if you do something stupid like throwing a frozen pizza on it, so keep it away from the kids. They do have a one year warranty though.

I have had the replacement for over five years and it has been on the weber a few time with no issues. They also make a stone bar pan that fits really well on a gas grill.

My oldest daughter is a district rep for Pampered Chef. She gave me one of their large pizza stones almost 8 years ago for my birthday. She told me not to use it on my grill or it might crack. Well I used it on my Primo for 5 years on a regular basis. I cooked my pizzas on 600 + and never once had a problem. Just put the stone on the grill as soon as you light it. My stone is so well seasoned it is almost as black as a CI skillet. It is one of my favorite cooking pans. All of their stoneware is great stuff.
