• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

READY TO GO ON

HALF WAY THERE

M-M-M Life's To Short to Eat Bad Ribs or Drink Bad Beer!:-D:-D:-D:-D

I hope she never learns that the Egg doesn't take the attention the stick burner does!

Smooth move. Especially with an egg. I've found that producing food that my wife loves and can't get anywhere else does wonders for the "no time to do that now, gotta tend the smoker" excuse.

The better half is an blown glass artist, and it finally made sense to her why I have several cookers when I told her that it's like why she has several different kilns to do different things.

What is the thing that the ribs are in? It doesn't look like any eggcessory I've seen.

Nice looking ribs. My wife bought a Guru for me a few years ago, so I don't have the "tend the fire" excuse any more.

It's called a "Rig". It allows you to use up to 3 cooking grates (i.e. for ribs or chicken). Plus you can put the regular Egg grate on top for a total of 4 levels. It sits on the fire ring. The grates can be placed from the fire ring up into the dome. Here's the link to the manufacturer.

COOL STUFF! AND NICE PRICES! The nickle plated grates are massive!

Thanks for the link, Mitch. I recognize Woo Doggie, and of course Nature Boy Chris. I think I'll be contacting this outfit for some Christmas presents.

Careful, brutha. We're rootin for ya but you're pushing the envelope!

I started out with a WSM.

Wife never bought the "gotta mind the cooker" reasoning.:oops:

She's a CBJ, but has never cooked with me at a contest. Won't camp even in a fancy motor home with a shower and satelite TV. Her idea of roughing it is a hotel that doesn't have room service after midnight. That's okay by me. I've got a lot more and worse faults.
