• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Man, do I love being on the Atkins diet! I can have meat, meat, meat, oh and I can't forget - meat! :lol: :lol:

I had 3 turkey legs, 12 boneless chicken thighs and 6 "poke-chops" that I wanted to cook up and have ready for meals for the rest of the week. Here is the rundown..,

First, I setup my CG Smokin' Pro for indirect cooking in the main chamber...


While the CG was heating up I had the goodies sittin' in rub...


Now its time to put them on the grill with plenty of hickory chunks to make a great flavor...


I chopped up some green leaf lettuce and fixed a salad to have with this great tasting meat...


It was all very tasty and my daughter wuz munchin'! 8)

I have the sfb on it. I just wanted to do indirect tonight to get done a little faster than usual. :wink: My pics are fairly close up so you don't see the sfb.

Mista, you are right about that too. I find that if I use one of my chargriller baskets full of coals and wood that the smoker will easily maintain a 250*-260* temp. I have actually done some ribs like that and they were wonderful. I do use the sfb alot but I use my WSM more than anything.

Yep. I've got the side fire box. Use it rarely. There is enough room in the CG to cook indirect with the fire and cooking all done in the big box. IF I really feel the need to do low and slow (as I do most of the time) I use the BSKD and oak. Charcoal is used when needed. Straight oak is my preference.

Actually its 1550! :lol::lol::lol: No really, Atkins encourage healthy fats like olive oil, cheeses, etc. This salad is big but it was my only veggie intake for the day. There is olive oil on it but I added some bleu cheese dressing for some extra flavor - thats allowed from time to time and I luvs bleu cheese! :-D
 
That Looks Like Good Eats to Me Tony!! I Loves Bleu Cheese Dressing Also.I Kinda got Hooked on the O'Charley's brand when My Daughter lived in Tennessee. Walmart there carried it,I found it here at Kroger's Once and they dont carry it anymore:mad: It was the best I have ever tasted too.
The O'Charley's Ranch Dressing is Great too.
