• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Another dam Texan just stumbled into the forum. I hail from north of the DFW area and have been smokin' for many years.
Nice to find more birds of the feather.
I currently have 2 Traeger 075s and a Ole Hickory SSE, and a gasser.

Welcome Papa TOM pull up a chair have a cold one lift up the boots sometimes gets a little deep in here but no flames:-D

Welcome to the backyard. Just so you know we like pictures. Mostly because we can't read.

So what makes a Texan a Texan. I was born and raised in California, but spent three years (76 to 79) at the Central Texas garden spot of Fort Hood. That is where I obtained my brisket addiction.

I have family in San Antonio and the little town of Jayton. My grandfather was born in Cherry, Texas (doesn't even exist any more). My great, great grandparents are buried in Copperas Cove.

I've been to Luckenbach and got into some serious trouble at Willie's Picnics in the 70's. I listen to Waylon, Willie and boys every day.

Does any of that count? Can I be a Texan, pretty please?

Howdy, Tom! You've got some great company down there and I'll go out on a limb and say you'll fit right in here!
