• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

How graphic can our pron be??

I do remember getting negative responses to my picture of raw mountain oysters though.....heck, the cooked ones too! lol :biggrin:
 
Go for it Bob! Maybe you know how to make something called "carne narangha" (forgive the spelling). I had some once a long time ago and haven't seen a recipe that looks like what these guys did, and it was the best. Anyway I look forward to your posts.
 
I hunt and clean all my game, we had a farm when I was a kid and butchered most of our meat, never did a pig .... would like to see .... I say go for it!
 
It wouldn't be a "how to" so to speak, just a collection of pics I took during the process.
I'll wait for the go ahead from one of the mods.
 
I believe most of the folks on this site know where our meats come from and are not squeamish about the process. Unlike my "cityfied" wife who used to think all meats come from neat little packages in the meat department...:lol::lol::lol:...that is until she met me...a country boy from Tennessee! Go for it! :-P

For all else that we are here in this forum, we are a BBQ site at the core with the goal of having an outstanding knowledge base for our members to improve on our craft.

What you propose will be educational, and informative and introduce cultural traditions to those of us who are limited to pizza shops and italian delis. :eusa_clap:redface:

I've seen hogs slaughtered, cleaned deer-squirrel-rabbit-trout-bass-bluegill-turtle-etc and chopped the heads off more than a couple of chickens but many have not.

Educate them!
 
I'm all for it. I'm a hunter and clean all my animals and fish. People need to understand that all meat comes from somewhere and someone had to kill all these tasty pigs and cows we all love. PETA makes me sick and I have no respect for them. I'm sure most of them couldn't stomach looking at our beloved BBQBRETHREN site and seeing all these tasty critters we cook but for us it's PRON. Go for it Bob look forward to seeing different techniques.
