Does anyone know anything about a new BBQ joint that opened recently in Point Pleasant, NJ?

Not sure, but if you give me more info, my brother in law has a house there and I can ask him. We go there quite often and bbq up a storm.

I actually live within spitting distance of the place. Its on the corner of Route 88 and Marshall Dr. co-located with a Rita's. It only opened within the last couple of weeks. I heard the food was good but a bit pricey. I haven't been to the place yet. My neighbors seem to be boycotting because of some issues while the site was being developed that I believe are unrelated to the Hickory Hog. Just wondering if anyone knew who was running the place.

I went there last night and had some ribs. I have to say I wasn't impressed. I ordered the ribs, St. Louis Style, as take out and the rack was only cut in two portions. The ribs were not trimmed properly and it was very difficult to cut into separate ribs. I could have overlooked that but the ribs were burnt. I expected better for $22. I find it odd that they only offer pulled pork or brisket as a sandwich and not part of a BBQ plate. Although when I was there they did have a pulled pork and brisket combo on the specials menu.
