I am a newbie from Angleton TX
16 years old
I have been q'ing for about 2 years now
i use mesquite and oak
my hobbies are low and slow meats cooked underneath the moonlight:biggrin:
anyway i am new to the site

How did you get your start with bbq?

we had this old small pit that we would do like a chicken or maybe a pork tenderloin or something but that was to small for what i wanted to do. so i designed a pit like i wanted it and me and my dad welded it together. Then he showed me how to light the fires and shared the family rub recipe and i put it on everything and threw trial and error i kinda learn how to BBQ not as good as most of u though .

Fantastic. What a great way to start. Don't be so modest about your skills. If you've got two years under your belt you're doing just fine.
