Full Fledged Farker
Hello all. I am new to this forum- been lurking for a little while and seems this is the place to learn, share info and just shoot the bull-
I live in NE PA where NY NJ and PA all meet- Been at the grill for most of my life-with the help of Dad- He has lately pretty much left it up to me, being he's 76 now.
Started making sausages, bacons, venison salami, jerky, smoked fish and all that other good stuff many years ago, with Dad and his now departed best friend- and I am still not an expert by any means- still learning and teaching my son as I go along- Great thing about screwing up is you get to eat the mistakes- some easier than others to swallow!!!!!
Got into low and slow BBQ about 5 years ago when I bought a new braunfel from the big orange store HD- Made the mods and turned out some decent stuff- The NB turned out to be a real needy critter so I bought a WSM so that I could do some BBQ and still have the freedom to get some stuff done around the yard -another step up in quality -Recently had the good fortune to pick up a used lang 84 w/warmer for a GREAT price- used it a half doz times and I am really impressed -What a machine-
Some pretty good stuff has come off it already mainly due to the cooker, with a little help from me
I guess I've rambled on long enough- glad to be here and I'm sure I will learn tons and hope to add some stuff to help out others. Mike
