Hello all!

Name is "Don" here. I had used an electric Brinkman for years to smoke mainly poultry, but bought an XL BGE at last year's Eggtoberfest. I also scored a NIB medium BGE this weekend on Craig's List. I've been going crazy since getting some real equipment last October... butts, briskets, chicken, ribs...everything! I've been having a tough time doing good pizza though. The crust is never exactly right.

I've never done competition, but I do have interest. If any local teams need a hand some time, do give me a shout. I'd like to go and just learn what I can. I went to Harry Soo's class in May. I felt I was cooking some pretty good stuff before, but it has indeed clicked up a notch since my LA trip.

The UDS thread has got me real interested. I wanna make one, but I've got two smokers now already!!! Somebody make me stop!
