Hey guys! Been lurking for a long time, time to say Hello and introduce myself. I'm from way, way Northern California up in Redding ... My buddy from work introduced me to the Brethren and I followed his progress when he built his 1st UDS, and I've been enticed by his tasty treats to finally build my own last month.

You can say I'm hooked to Q right now, much to my wife's frustrations of me wanting to BBQ every night.

I pestered my buddy Dave to enter a local Q contest last month with his UDS, and had a excellent time cooking with him. We only did Ribs but ended up taking 3rd place. Ever since then I've had the bug real real bad so I finally broke down and built my own drum. Now I have the tow behind bug and I'm trying not to break the bank account buying more toys.

At the moment I'm babysitting a big ol pork butt and 2 racks of baby backs on the UDS, life couldn't be better. Nothing to do for the next 3 days except Q!

Welcome to the Brethren, is it true that in Redding you can BBQ meat in a black drum without any fire, just leave it on the driveway?

And yes, I was up there last week.
