• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I do feel truly fortunate to be a Member of this Forum. I have been here just “Lurking” for several months now. I have been sitting back reading all the posts trying to further my Limited knowledge of Smoking. I think I have reached the point that I feel like Kelly Bundy, as a bit of knowledge comes in, something must come out.
My Nickname came from work “OldBob” I have been with the same Company in Central Indiana for 45 years as a Machine Repairman. I am a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran.
I have been grilling for several years on a Weber Gasser and knew that there had to be more to BBQ than this. I was in my neighborhood Rural King one day and they had a Brinkman Smoke King Deluxe on clearance for $175 so I said to Myself, Self You can do this. So My quest for the perfect BBQ was born. My Internet search for information on the BSKD brought me to this site and I have been here from that point on. I am at this Point Far from perfect, but with all the knowledge of this forum and all the Brothers that are so willing to share their knowledge my quest goes on. I truly enjoy this forum and look forward to being able to share some of the knowledge I learn here with others.
I have Most of the Modifications done on the Smoke King and am at the present time working on the Lawn Trailer Mod for it. I wanted to store it in the Garage with my Harley and be able to transport it to the backyard to do the smoking, and the wheels on it were just not good for transporting it off the cement. The lawn trailer should make it much more stable. I will post pics when it is done.

In Closing Thanks again for allowing me to become a part of this forum.

Yours in ‘Q

If I'm not being too nosey, what type of machinery do you work on?

I have been repairing printing presses for a little over 18 years now...
