I came across the site a few weeks ago and have been lurking ever sense, so I figured I might as well join and say hello. I grew up in Santa Maria, CA before moving here to the San Joaquin Valley so my idea of good BBQ has always been Tri-Tip. Now that I'm expanding my BBQ horizons, I've picked up a Char-Griller with the side firebox to compliment my Yellow Simpson’s 10th Anniversary Weber grill and I've been locating sources of good wood (not a problem here surrounded by orchards and vineyards). I hope to keep learning from the vast amount of BBQ wisdom here on the site.
