• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Hello everyone, I don't think I posted my hello so here it is. I live in Jourdanton Tx. a little town south of San Antonio. I have been BBQ'in for 10 years or so. I have a 4' pit with a 2' firebox 1/2" casing. Love the way it cooks, I have a 7' being made should have it in a couple of weeks. I am looking to purchase a Backwoods Smoker but I am undecided so any constructive input would be appreciated. Also am looking to purchase a Kinfisher Kooker, but again I'm undecided. I do a little catering on the side if it does'nt conflict with work, and I am in the process of putting a team together to hit the local competition circuit to see where I stand and to to learn a few pointers along the way. So anyone I am open to costructive critisism any feedback would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Gunrunner. Post often, enjoy, and pics are a great. Look forward to hearing how you Q.

As a matter of fact I am in the process of buying a camera, I am looking at the Canon S3. So when I get it I would be more than happy to post pics. I love pictures of great BBQ. Doesn't everyone?

Welcome Brother, enjoy the forum.

Welcome Gunrunner, I have a Backwoods Party and love it. I would probably advise you to move up to at least the competitor or the fatboy, bit that depends on what you are going to do with it. Only reason I suggest that is more room and better water pan system.
