• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

at 6:00am. Wife and 2 helpers headed to a company picinic with the old pit and white truck. I headed out to vend with the new trailer. Both are done and went great. 1 more to go this weekend. A golf outing. We've earned our money this week. It's 100 right now, without the heat index.

Congrats on pulling off 2 jobs in one day. Keep yourself and the crew dehydrated.

My crew and I

went through 6, 1 liter water bottles today and 6 Gatorade. Sad part is, we couldn't eat a thing, just too hot.

great job! All the hard work paid off? Can't imagine working in that kind of heat, it a little humid here and only about 78*, and I'm complaining!:-P

The company

picinic we did only had about 50% show up because of the heat. They had a bunch of leftovers (Pulled Pork, Hot Dogs, Chicken Breasts, Twice Baked Potato Casserole, Baked Beans, Pasta Salad, and Layered Salad). Oh well, they paid for it, it belongs to them.

They let you pull that smoker with a fire in it?!

I walked by my pit the other day and the thermometer read 150*off the door...I've got to hand it to you to cook in this heat....the wife said to me yesterday that we made a good decision not to cook any contests in Aug.

Pull pit with fire in it....

I've never asked, and we've never been stopped. Been doing it 3 years, but only on a limited basis (like when we have multiple jobs). Several local policemen I know have seen me do it never commented, so I'm not asking any questions.

We close the flue, and seal the firebox door tight with foil, so there is no hot ash nor coals escaping.
