"Happy Phriday Pharkers, what's Smoking this Weekend?"

Once again, this weekend, I raise a glass to an old friend who's life was cut short too soon.
No, I'll probably raise several glasses... this time of year, and all.

I intend to smoke a beef tongue a la Tonybel, and I'll bet that Momma asks for some wings somewhere in there.

Have a wonderful weekend, folks. Please hug your friends & family and remember why we have the freedom to enjoy this time together.

Happy phriday Phu and Pharkers!! I have no idea what I'm cooking yet. I want to try smoked porkloin with rub. But I also want some ribs. Maybe a chuck roast. Or I want a meatloaf!

All I know at this moment the smoker is being fired up today at some point!

Have a good pharkin weekend everyone! Be safe if your doing any extra activities for the holiday!

I just seen a beef tongue here, didn't buy it though. It was pretty expensive and still can't get over tongue. His cook did look good though.

I might cook some pork ribs for my kids, they been asking for it every day for dinner. I don't think they realize how long it takes.

A toast for the fallen.

I have 10 lbs of bacon curing in the fridge that will be cold smoked over night tonight. The Lang and Webber will be getting a Spring cleaning this weekend but I am not sure if they will get any cooking use.

Bacon, some almonds for some traveling friends, not sure what else yet.

Phu, crew and all y'all Pharkers have a great weekend - and all the best to all our Veterans - whether they be with us in body or spirit - this Memorial Day weekend.

My husband has to work on Monday, so being the good wife that I am, I'll be taking him and his team (about 12 total) some pork butt, ribs, sausages, and mac and cheese - I'll smoke the cheese too. I'll probably figure out something green to feed them too, but they don't put much of a premium on the veggies.

Although we cannot thank him, we will honor him and all others who paid the ultimate sacrifice this weekend. It's because of men like him that I am proud that I put on the uniform, even if it's for 1 weekend a month. I work as a civil servant at Vandenberg AFB and am a reservist (now, but was 7 years active before) and I thank those who paved the way for me. RIP Lt. Stoddard, you are gone but your sacrifice is not forgotten.

On a lighter note, I will be having a meatpalozza this weekend, packed with ribs on my weber red, chicken on my black weber, and smoking a pork butt on my newly acquired big boy charcoal water smoker.

My son came down and we're smoking a brisket for a family get-together tomorrow.

Happy Phriday, Phu! RIP, LT! No plans for the weekend yet. Playing it by ear. Off work today, but storming so not going to bother.

I guess playing it by ear worked. Found a 9.5 lb choice brisket for $1.49/lb and 2 racks of St. Louis spares for $1.69/lb. Plans answered.

Did a turkey breast today. Got meatloaf fixin's for Sunday. Something big on Monday, maybe another brisket, even if I already have plans on cooking one next Monday for potluck...

Lots! Made Jerky today. Putting on an overnight brisket. Wake up and toss on a fatty. Sunday a butt and 4 racks St. Louis. Also just started curing 11 lbs. of pork belly for next week.
