• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

back in the gold rush days, when you hit it big, you'd order a hangtown fry... all the most expensive items on the menu fried up together. here's my take on the recipe. i wasn't sure how this was gonna turn out, but dang! not bad!

here's the new egg off craigslist (my 4th) makin bacon!

egg-washed oysters with cracker crumb breading fried up in the bacon grease

eggs & a little milk whisked together then sprinkled with parsley and dizzy pig swamp venom

when the egg starts to set, plop in a few oysters and stick in some bacon pieces...

pull when the egg sets and serve with hot sauce and fresh horseradish!

that's the first time i've ever had a hangtown fry as well.

#4's name is barney, cause the plan is to sell it to my friend that has the bar so i don't have to cart mine down there all the time

Your sous chef is a real looker.

Oh, yeah, and the food looks good too.

Thank God your here, or else I might start to think my cooking is good!

BTW, Where does one get a pan like the one you cooked the eggs in?

When do we get a family portrait? Three L's and an M, that's a handfull, you could have your own Eggfest in Farmersville! How do you like working at table height? Any plans for a duo nest?

hey look! an edit! hahaa

my mom gave me that for christmas. it's a lodge cast iron and it says cracker barrel on the bottom, so i reckon it came from cracker barrel. that's the first time i've used it.........

hmmmm... maybe tomorrow for the family photo. i only cooked the bacon in the new one in the table tonight, but it seems ok, i guess. the rest was done in the other egg in a nest. not sure yet about a duo...

How do you think of this stuff. It's amazing.

that recipe has been around since the 1850's, i just tweaked it a little.
