• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I've been thinking of putting a draft inducer motor on my chargriller but, on the far end of the cook chamber to draw through instead of blowing directly into the coals......couple that up with a rheostat and temp control is at your finger tips.

Low cfm blower, air pulled through squirrell cage fan. Temp controller cycles on to give boost when temp drops below span. Then off at high setpoint. When blower stays on time to add load of coals. Seems to work good. Coppied firebox top off previous post. Wrapped sweet potatoes in foil and put on top with roaster lid to cover.Worked great. May try pot of beans next time. sheated cooking chamber with insulation in the past. Just skinned it with shell from old washing machine that gave out. Local breeze that kicks up doesn't affect cook like it used to.

43 beers, It's not how long but how many times I had to stop to do what my family thinks is more important. I just fool with it when I can, kind of work in progress. Just wish I could weld better.

Wow, looks like you have really put some work into it, so, how does it work?

I'm surprised that with all the mod's that have been done, it looks like this bad-boy still has stock rubber. There are a lot of Bandera owners that go to sleep at night and have pleasant dreams of mod'ing there smokers to look like this one. Maybe you can sell a kit with the skins for the smoke chamber, and the solid end piece and low-profile lid for the firebox.
