• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Been lookin' at a smoker/grill at lowes.........look pretty nice, heavy steel, firebox on the side, priced cheap $119.00..........any comments on this or cautions?

Sounds like the Chargriller. You will need the side firebox for another $49. It's a nice unit.

A lot of those around here. I've got one and like it a lot. The cast iron grates are a nice plus in a consumer model cooker. You'll want to modify the charcoal grate to allow better air flow but it's an easy fix. It gets a little chilly here in the winter so I don't even use the firebox, just cook offset in the smoke chamber. Someone, I think Bigmista, uses his without the firebox because of space limitations on his balcony and he likes it just fine. Look up some of his pics and you'll have to agree.

thanks for the input guys! I'll be taking a trip to Lowes on payday!!

Do you have Menard's in Kentucky? (I could look at their web site, but I'm too lazy!). My local Menard's has the Chargriller Pro for $89 and the firebox for $49.

If you end up buyingone let me know. I have a doc from a guy on the BBQ Forum that shows some mods (I was thinking about buying one but haven't yet).
