We tried a new grilled pizza recipe last night on the Weber. Followed it pretty much exactly. It came out good and wanted to share some pics.

Here is the recipe:http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/...-onions-and-oregano-ricotta-recipe/index.html

Wow! Very nice. Great looking pies and nice work on the photos too. Wish I could take pics like that. Look out for this guy in Throwdowns.

By the way, nice shots. Are you using a dslr? I ask because it looks like you are using a really small aperture with a short depth of field and nice background blur.

What he said..........now, what'd he say? [wishing I knew more about photography]

Great looking pie. I also enjoyed the photos. :thumb:

Way cool, All I had for lunch is artichokes whole, cooked them and boiled them like Alton Brown stated in his vid. And boy I've found my fav veggie fo sur.

awesome looking pies, do u have to smoke everything first then put it on the crust with sauce then warm? what would happen if u made it like a regular pizza, raw meat and veggies and just stuck it in there?

That looks great! Fantastic pics!! Is that some type of herb goat cheese on top?

That's ricotta mixed with some fresh oregano.

These shots were all taken at 135mm f2 with a dslr.

Basically just grilled the veggies and sausage then put them aside. Brushed olive oil on the dough and grilled that for a few minutes each side. Then covered the grilled dough with grated fontina cheese, the sausage and veggies and back on the grill until the cheese melts. Take off the grill, sprinkle with basil vinaigrette, some dollops of ricotta and time to eat.

I posted the complete recipe link ...it was a Bobby Flays'.

We're going to have the leftover pies tonight.

Grilling the peppers and onions brings out the sweetness in them. If you put just raw veggies on the pie, they don't end up fully cooked and are a little sharper (still not bad, just different). Plus, I've found that peppers soggie up the dough if put on the pies when raw due to all the extra moisture).

.......or is that just me?:becky:

Nice pies Hammerz Nailz! Beauty pics too!:thumb::clap2:
