Hi,

I'm thinking of making grilled peaches for the Fourth.

Anyone have any favorite recipes?

I'm thinking a reduction with orange juice and balsamic and then some creme fraiche on top.

Thoughts?

Eric

This was a grilled dessert "pizza" we did a few years back on a weber kettle..

grilled peaches coated in a little melted butter, brown sugar, honey & cinnamon, slivered almonds, mint leaves, over a cannoli cream spread on a grilled dough

I like to soak mine in a spiced rum and the grill take them off top with brown sugar while hot then top with vanilla ice cream with a rum slash.

Grill em with a lil Brown Sugar and Butter
Then a scoop of French Vanilla with a drizzle of Texas Pepper Jellies, Haberno Pineapple
Yum

Peal some fresh peaches, halve and pit. Marinade in honey, a dash of vanilla and a leetle cinnamon. Drain the peaches, reserving the marinade. Grill them for a minute or two on each side. Glaze with the reserved marinade for the last minute or so. Top with strawberries and ice cream if you wish, but these do stand pretty good alone.

Happy 4th to you,
Kevin

I second the Dizzy Pig Pineapple Head...I use it all the time...great stuff! :p A little drizzle of honey or Grand Marnier kicks it up to the moon...add a dollop of vanilla ice cream for that wow factor...:thumb:

i slice them and soak them face down in dark rum, or coconut rum, or peach schnapps or cognac. depends on mood.

dip the face in butter, and then some white sugar. Grill them face down for a few minutes, then move them to a hot griddle(buttered) and finish there.

I recommend this too. Dark rum, melted butter and brown sugar. Baste the flesh side of the peaches frequently on the grill. Serve with ice cream. It was a big hit for me last year. I still get asked to do it again.
