Obviously a newbie to the board. Just bought a Bubba Keg at HD for the $299 price, and will be cooking two free range chickens today. Seasoned the thing yesterday with very little - maybe a handful of - charcoal... it got up to 400* pretty quickly and stayed there for three hours before I lowered the vents to 1 on top and bottom. After a couple more hours I shut the vents completely, and this morning there was still some charcoal left.

Had an Oklahoma Joe, but haven't used it in a couple of years due to the rusting and inability to adjust temps. The thing also seemed to eat charcoal. When I saw the BK at that price, I decided it was time to retire the Oklahoma Joe for good.

Looks like a great board, and glad to be here.
