• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Greetings from germany

Howdy folks...

My name is Marco, im a 31 years old BBQ-Holic from germany.

I heard rumours about this forum for a long time, but always hesitated to
register because it was a closed forum. Anyway, i did register a couple of weeks ago i think i might have a darn good time around here.

I got hooked to grilling and barbecuing about 7 years ago, and its got more and more intense each year.
I´m looking forward to learn a good bit of new stuff and have lots of fun here, like i did on a couple of other Q forums.

Barbecuing or even indirect grilling is really rare over here, sometimes me and my mates feel like barbecue pioneers. 95 % of all germans grill small, thin cuts of meat over a small cheapo open top grill, sometimes they even cover the grate with aluminum foil :icon_smil

So, my friends and i have a barbecue forum ( www.mybbq.net ) and a competition team. We were quite successful in our first year and were looking forward to the world championchips next year in Belgium.

I cook on a whole lot of different grills and Smokers, i got a bunch of Weber Kettles

Welcome to the forum. Your pictures are great.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say, we'd like to see more pictures of the home made smoker you are building.

Post often and keep the pictures coming. I'd like to hear more about the comps when you have time.

Welcome to the fray. I think you're gonna fit in just fine. :-D

Welcome Don Marco! The pictures are great. Especially of the Super WSM. Can't say I have ever seen anything like it. It would be great to see it in detail. German engineering at its finest!

The American Flag on the Burger is a nice touch too!
