• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Well hiya Brethen my name is Walter Brooker , I am from Denmark South Carolina a small town 50 miles south of Columbia Sc our state capitol. I have been doing BBQ since I could stand by my fathers knee, we grillled out every Sunday without fail on our trusty weber grill, thats were I started my schooling on all things grilled and BBQ.
I am a Certified Judge with the South Carolina BBQ Association , I have in my back yard 1 Kenmore gas grill , 1 custom made 55 gallon drum smoker with a side firebox , and a large turkey frier. I have been thinking of starting my own competiton team any ideas??

My favorite things to make are Ribs, Boston Butt, Chicken , and Brisket when I can afford it, I make my own sauces and rubs as well.

Welcome, grab a cold one and jump into the fray. would be interested in pics of that 55 gal drum smoker. It seems to be the type I am trying to get built for my use.
