• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Greetings fellow Meatlings

I've been bbq'n for about 5 years now. Got my first BBQ 5 years ago in Spokane, a beautiful Brinkmanns Cimmeron, who now sits lonely in a storage unit languishing in misery. Been living in an apartment for the last 2 years here in Eugene where i only have room for a webber kettle. So i now Q vicariously through you guys. I dream of the day when i can get a piece of ground and set my baby free. Until then i can grill. I'm even considering an Alton Brown special ceramic pot smoker but space is an extreme premium..

I don't have any pics from the good ol days ready and if I took a picture of my baby now it would break your heart. So a hearty thanks to you all who keep my spirits up until that day when i can again stand tall.

Welcome to the group, nothing wrong with standing tall next to a Kettle.

Welcome Betterman. Glad to have you with us. Enjoy the ride.

Welcome, Betterman Grab a cold one and jump into the fray.
Consider a WSM or El Chepo Brinkman. You can make some real good Que on your Kettle as well.

Welcome, cant you leave at someone elses house? Rent a yard? hide it in a nearby forest? There has to be a way

Welcome. I think an ecb would be in order. Pain in the ass to work, but you do get the benefitial smoke therapy. Just gave mine to my brother that is retiring next month.

Glad you are here Betterman. Enjoy. My wife calls me the meat bi*ch.... is that like a meatling? :o)

Plan for Betterman:

Call 3 friends.

Buy Beer

Buy 6 slabs of ribs and a pork butt.

Go to storage place. Open door. Pull Cimmeron out.

Open folding chairs.

Light coals, smoke meat, drink beer.

End of the day, dump coals and ash, wheel Cimmeron back into storage.

Go home happy.

Next weekend, repeat.

Welcome

Welcome, Betterman....I like Bill's idea...I've thought about that, too. Can't keep my pit in the city, so I have to store it a few hours away-- I might rent a garage. Until then, I can do some que on the sidewalk-- If I can do it on this, you can do it on the Weber....
