• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Any recommendation on what type of charcoal to use in a gravity feed smoker? Will regular old Kingsford get the job done or do I need to go with lump? What are yalls thoughts?

For longer ( overnight) cooks I use Kingsford . Short cooks I use lump. If using lump just remember to break any unusually large pieces so they don't get hung in the chute ( this is normally not a problem in the larger units ) also you'll get shorter burn times with lump. To answer your question, yes Kingsford will work just fine

Kingsford should work fine, but I prefer a hardwood briquette. Less ash and better flavor to me. I also use Stubbs.

Stubbs is all I used to use when I owned my Stumps , burns hot and less ash and it is only $8 a bag .

I use RO briquettes and lump.
