Gotta love it when you find mislabelled/mispriced stuff in the meat/fish dept. The Missus came home a couple days ago with 3 packages of smoked salmon she was bragging about the price that was on them. Said there were still two left and was wishing she would have grabbed all of them. So I jumped in the car (the store is just around the corner) and went back myself and the other two were still there. Score!!!!
Yes, they were marked "special", but the special price was $35+/kg as there was one that was correctly priced along side of them. So this was like $0.25 on the dollar! And man is it good! These were pretty big hunks and each one could easily feed the two of us with some leftover. Avg price was about $2.50 each. When I went back I noticed the meat guy training a new kid. I'm gonna be looking forward to more of his training!
