• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Got half a stear in the Bandera this afternoon.

Four chucks and a couple of rumps. I am trying McCormics beef seasioning as a rub. Smells pretty good. But we will reserve judgement till the fat lady sings. And finally, HOW 'BOUT THOSE CUBBIES!

beef seasoning?? as in Montreal Steak seasoning?? or is that something different?

Actually it just says beef seasioning. It also had a recipe for Sloppy Joe's on the back. But, now that I have had it I will probably never BBQ with it again. It was OK but it lacked zing, and I prefer my BBQ with zing. So it is back to my old standard Boar's Breath rub. It has plenty of zing. Chili powder is also good to use as a rub, it also has zing.

The two rumps also tasted old. Must have been last years cow left over in the freezer. It will turn into meat salad for sure.

Cubbies ar looking great, and I am not a baseball fan. But the bears are sucking wind so bad I have turned into a b-ball fan for a little while

2 racks of spares, 2 pork loins and 3 chiken boobs, all with Blues Hog rub. That stuff is awesome. Thanks Ray!

Rasberry Cumin POOPIE?

I think that Franks Wing sauce we had of Colts farked up our buds that day.

I had the rub, and the sauce yesterday. There ain't a hint of raspberry or cumin in that stuff. It's cinnamon and apricot are the flavors that are boldest.

Then, dipped in shrimp bombs, are buds were toast after that. Throw on chicken wing pork butts and thats how we came up with raspeberry cumin POOPIE.

disagree!! yeah, our buds were hammered that day, but I think it was our first whiff of the Sauce, not the rub. Rasberry(or some berry) is dominant and definatley some cumin in there. Rub is great, the sauce I have to cut down a little for my taste. My kids love it though. and its good on crackers(yup, they did that). I usually cut it with a little spray, or cider vinegar before I glaze ribs with it.

Agree on very sweet, kids like it here to.

I forgot to try my new Jalepeno jelly on the wibs.

No Q this coming weekend, for it's OktoberFest season here in Chicagoland. 3 weekends of Beer and Bratwurst, with the Johnny Wagner Band playing all over the area.

Gotta go practice my Yodel, Hans.
