• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Got out today and got some wood cut, the 2 loads I got today leaves me in pretty good shape.

First load was maple & oak

The 2nd load I was really excited about.I burn a lot of cherry and I got a full truck load.

Now find some time for some splitting and I will be set.

maple and oak are my bread and butter in my stick burner. but a load of cherry like that is tough to come by around me. good work

Nice score on the loads of wood. I use oak and maple. I have had a couple of chances to use cherry, but that kind of cherry is no where to be found in my area.

Congrats

Harry

very nice. i am too lazy to cut wood. i don't mind splitting now that i have a splitter.:biggrin1:

Your Lang will be well fed with all that wood.
Can't wait to read about your cooks.

I never knew maple can be used for smoking. How would you compare it to the taste of oak.

Man after my own heart, I use a lot of cherry, mostly on bird and some pork. I like oak for beef and making jerky.

Now you're all hooked up my friend :thumb:

Got the trifecta of flavor for your cooks there

Cherry is my favorite smoking wood. But oak is more plentiful in my area.
